For those of you that havent already heard, work has recently begun on a new official skills area in Dawson woods near Thackley. The plan is for it to be a spot for riders of all abilities and will mostly consist of jumps, drops and a few techy sections. Everything is set out in an opening in the woodland and is built in a large flat oval. Things have progressed quickly and it should hopefully be up and running very soon, with room for constant alterations and improvment in future. There are also plans for a pumptrack to be built, although this wont be started until everything else has reached a rideable stage. Heres some photos of the progress so far.  As i'm sure many of you already know, Leeds' favorite BMX track, yeadon, recently recieved a much needed revamp! Nothing drastic, just a few small changes and freshen up.
The main changes - the step up on the first straight is now a double, the jumps in the third and fourth straight have been changed a little, the tiny hip after the fourth berm is now much bigger and the final rollers have been built up. All the berms have been tarmaced so it all rolls much much faster. First impressions are very good, although as it was blowing a gale we couldnt try the first new double however it looks pretty good! I'm sure we'll be doing many evening sessions there over the summer months! Few photos here - cheers to Mike for those! Click here for the forum thread.

 A few of the lads hit up hamsterley last weekend to check out the recently revamped trails. Sounds as though they've done a huge ammount of work up there, giving things a much needed freshen -up

Unfortunatley theres not masses of riding photos as when you've got chairlifts, you cant be bothered stopping to taker photos, you just want to get to the bottom so you can go again!  As you may have noticed, we've changed a few things! Nothing drastic, just a new banner at the top, revised menu, new forum style and completely new galleries. I have also vastly improved the trail guide and will be adding more trails to this over the coming weeks. We have also now moved our movie hosting over to youtube to ease up on our bandwith. I'll try and get some new videos put together and uploaded asap.
